The 22-year-old had started his loan spell with Doncaster Rovers in exceellent form, scoring three goals in five games including a double striker against Nottingham Forest at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The Reds next opponents after the international break are a Bournemouth side faring very well on their return to the second-tier of English football.
Eddie Howe's side were 5-2 winners against Millwall at the weekend, battling back after the Lions took a two-goal lead.
"We showed great character to comeback from being two goals down," said Howe.
"I was disappointed with the Millwall goals because they were both avoidable. But that is the way we play and you have to allow for mistakes because we like to get forward and attack when we can."
