As Stuart Broad and company look to win back the Ashes for England, his side head to the South Coast for a Friday night Championship opener against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Chris Hughton's Seagulls finished their preparations for the new campaign on Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 victory against Europa League winners Sevilla at the Amex Stadium.
In contrast to the tight rein that Dougie Freedman has had imposed on him in the transfer market this summer, Hughton has been busy reshaping his squad and it was one of the new signings, Tomer Hemed, who scored the only goal against Sevilla from the penalty spot.
Hemed was snapped up from Almeria in Spain in late June as Albion and their Championship rivals looked abroad for signings.
