Tim Sherwood brings his new-look Aston Villa squad to the City Ground on Saturday afternoon after a busy summer in the transfer market which has seen big names Fabian Delph and Christian Benteke depart with seven new arrivals coming the other way.
Defender Jose Angel Crespo is the latest of these having been signed from Cordoba earlier in the week and the 28-year-old could be set for a quick reunion with Forest's third capture of the summer.
That is left-back Daniel Pinillos who signed a two-year deal with the Reds this week after a successful trial period. He left Cordoba at the end of last season following their relegation from La Liga.
Update: Villa have clinched two more signings on Friday, Blackburn striker Rudy Gestede and Nantes midfielder Jordan Veretout.
