Having battled inhospitable conditions and a fired-up Preston North End to come out with an FA Cup win on Wednesday night which manager Billy Davies admitted was more than harsh on their hosts, the Reds are back in Championship action on Saturday and will fancy their chances of taking three points from a Blackpool side who have taken only two points from their last twelve games.
After a positive start to the season, a combination of ill-discipline and uncertainty over the future of starlet Tom Ince began to derail the Seasiders' campaign.
Paul Ince was recently sacked as manager, leaving Barry Ferguson in temporary charge and with fan protests planned against chairman Karl Oyston at the weekend.
"It frustrates me that we find ourselves in this position again, very much so," Oyston told the Blackpool Gazette this week. "Throughout my tenure I've always majored on stability. We've really not had any lately."
Davies suffered injury blows to David Vaughan and Henri Lansbury this week but in contrast to Saturday's hosts has little to worry him with Forest on a lengthy unbeaten run, scoring plenty goals and with the majority of their deadline signings available for selection at Bloomfield Road.
