The home side went into the game after an uncertain week which saw them agree to a sale and lease back of their Dean Court home to help ease the club's financial situation.

O'Driscoll said: "It has been a difficult week so it is nice to end it by playing a football match."

Forest manager Gary Megson said: "Everywhere we go it's like a cup atmosphere and in the programme it always says this is the opposition's biggest game of the season.

"We need to learn to cope with that because we are not coping at the moment."
