Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp has pledged his international allegiance to Northern Ireland. The 26-year-old, who was born in Derby and has represented England at Under-21 level, qualifies to play for Northern Ireland through his Belfast-born grandfather.
Camp kept 19 clean sheets for Forest last season but his hopes of earning a call-up to Fabio Capello's squad have failed to materialise.
"Hopefully I will be approved to play for Northern Ireland. The process has started. I have produced a birth certificate and things are moving along," Camp told the Belfast Telegraph.
