Can Nottingham Forest End 2015 In Top-Half?

Last updated : 28 December 2015 By Forest

The demands of television to have the Reds' game against Leeds United screened on Sunday means a long trip for away supporters to South Wales on Tuesday night instead of for a 3pm kick-off on Bank Holiday Monday.

But the journey will hopefully be worth it as Forest could end 2015 in the top-half of the Championship, a position that seemed highly unlikely just a few weeks ago.

Without setting the division on fire, Dougie Freedman's side are unbeaten in December and, with the manager continuing to work under a transfer embargo, look to have become a fairly tight-knit group who know the job that their manager wants them to do.

Eric Lichaj is set to continue at left-back while Jonny Williams and Kelvin Wilson have been passed fit for the game.

Cardiff, who could move to within a point of the play-offs if they win, have been warned by manager Russell Slade that they cannot afford more slip-ups like the Boxing Day defeat at MK Dons.
