"It is something you don't have to worry about at all, because you are ignited and enthused by the play-offs," he said.
"If we were in Bristol City's position, ahead by four points and ended up missing out on automatic promotion, then we would have a greater problem.
"The greatest way of winning promotion is on a last game scenario, whether that is Crewe or whether that is a Wembley final. It is so euphoric and a natural high, sometimes it is worth a little heartache.
"Given the choice we will take it on May 5."
