The Cherries, still not quite safe in League One, face a Nottingham Forest side who are still very much in with a chance of making the play-offs.
Cooper told his club's official website: "They're particularly a threat up front so it'll be a test for us at the back and we'll try and contain them.
"If we win we're definitely safe so that's what we've got to concentrate on.
"Anyone in this league is beatable, but hopefully we're not on the end of a backlash from their defeat at Hartlepool last week.
"We know we're good enough to beat anyone so we'll go up there and play to our strengths."
