Nigel Clough and his Brewers side will make the trip to the City Ground to face his former club on Saturday 6 August before an away trip for Forest to Brighton & Hove Albion one week later.
Derby matches against the Rams are scheduled for 10 December (away) and 18 March (home) while the Reds are due to have away games on both Boxing Day at Huddersfield Town and New Year's Eve at Newcastle United.
The regular season ends at home to Ipswich Town on Sunday 7 May.
