The talented Commons has been one of the few bright spots for Forest this season and was the hero of Saturday's 1-0 win over Burnley that kept alive the hopes of a great escape from the foot of the Championship table.
Ahead of a second trip this season to QPR on Saturday, Commons said: "We are still playing catch up.
"We have go to get six points and see where we go from there. We might still end up going down, but at least we can show there is still pride in the club."
