Cup countdown: Davies delighted with Derby draw

Nottingham Forest travel to Derby in a game that, local derby aside, throws up some enthralling sub-plots with Davies returning to his former club and City Ground favourite Nigel Clough now in charge of the Rams.

Speaking to The Independent, in an interview published on Monday, Davies says: "I've been getting phone calls from Japan, China, Australia, wanting to talk about this game.

"I remember watching the draw, praying we'd get Derby at Derby.

"The atmosphere will be outstanding. And, contrary to reports, I've got some great friends there."
