Despite losing both an early goal and Radoslaw Madejski for a challenge which Davies accepted was 'a bit stupid and naïve', Nottingham Forest earned a point against the league leaders thanks to David McGoldrick's fortuitous strike.
Davies told Sky Sports: "It was 70 minutes with ten men. We have worked in the last two or three days on shape, on positional play, on how we would like to go about it, and then that happens to you and it's an absolute disaster.
"But great credit to these players. I have said time and time again that they deserve enormous credit for what they've done and how hard they work.
"What they give us is tremendous and again we thank them very much."
