The Reds face fellow play-off challengers Reading and Burnley at the City Ground in the next nine days.
Following a controversial defeat at Leeds on Saturday which leaves Forest battling to regain their place in the top six, Davies wants his players to bounce back immediately by claiming six vital points.
"We have seven games remaining and I have said for weeks that it will go down to the wire. I still believe that it will," said the Scot.
"I have said before that as long as you are in the chasing pack, lots of things can happen.
"We have two home games on the bounce now, which might be a help. If we can win both of those, it will certainly help us, without doubt. That has to be our target."
