Nottingham Forest had to settle for their fourth successive point leaving them without a win this season following the 1-1 draw with Millwall - but manager Billy Davies could not fault his players.
Millwall looked set to secure a fourth win in five league games courtesy of Steve Morison's early header - the striker's fifth goal of the season. But Dexter Blackstock - who blazed a penalty over the crossbar in the ninth minute - grabbed an equaliser for the hosts with 10 minutes remaining when he rose to convert Chris Cohen's cross.
Davies said: "The effort and attitude was first class. We gave away a soft goal but showed great character to come back into the game. Missing a penalty was a huge blow to us but the players stuck at it and I was very proud of the performance."
