Spurs caretaker boss David Pleat had a £2.5m bid for Andy Reid rejected last week but it seems the White Hart Lane chief could be keen on England U21 international Michael Dawson as well.
A Forest spokesman said: "To say we have received a new bid is simply not true. There has been no contact from Spurs since their first bid for Andy Reid was rejected last week."
Forest chairman Nigel Doughty has suggested Andy Reid is worth £5m on his own and it would take a substantial offer to tempt both Reid and Dawson away from the City Ground.
Dawson and Reid came through the club's youth academy along with players that have already moved on such as Jermaine Jenas, David Prutton and Marlon Harewood.
Meanwhile, Forest's FA Cup 4th Round clash with rivals Sheffield United has been changed to Sunday 25 January at 2pm.
Nottinghamshire Police suggested the change because of Notts County's Second Division clash with Swindon Town at Meadow Lane.
