The MK Dons boss felt his side were well in the game at the City Ground until Trent McClenahan's own goal gave Forest the lead and a mistake by goalkeeper Ricardo Batiste allowed Grant Holt to make it 2-0.
"They were very poor goals to concede and we have got to stop conceding sloppy goals if we are going to stand a chance of staying up," said Wilson after the game.
"I firmly believe we have the players to keep us up and I am sure it will go down to the wire again this season."
