Forwards Nicky Maynard and Paul Taylor will link up with the Reds as they report back for pre-season training, allowing manager Dougie Freedman to run the rule over the pair.
One of a number of strikers to have been given their big chance at Peterborough United in recent seasons, Taylor has struggled for games and goals since leaving Posh for Ipswich Town in the summer of 2012.
Maynard could potentially be an interesting signing given his background as a regular marksman for both Crewe Alexandra and Bristol City which earned him a big move to West Ham United in January 2012.
His time at Upton Park was short before a switch to Cardiff City that same year and, like Taylor, his appearances have been limited since then.
