Cardiff and Swansea have accused Nottingham Forest of trying to 'tap up' their players. Reds chief executive Mark Arthur said over the weekend the club were making progress towards signing Cardiff winger Peter Whittingham and Swansea midfielder Darren Pratley, suggesting both players were keen on a move to the City Ground.
Cardiff manager Dave Jones was particularly riled by that claim, labelling it an 'absolute disgrace', while Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins accused Forest of breaching Football League rules. Forest have had two offers for Whittingham turned down and Jones insists the player, who scored 25 goals last season, wants to stay at the club. "I have never had a go at anybody in football but if that's not blatant tapping up, I don't know what is," Jones told the South Wales Echo.
Jenkins also hit out claiming Pratley does not favour a move to Forest either and added: "It's complete rubbish and we will have to discuss whether we take action."
