Eastwood plays down Forest link

Eastwood started last season with non-league Grays but a move to Southend yielded 24 goals in 38 games as the Shrimpers won promotion to League One.

Brighton and Forest were both linked with the striker yesterday but it looks as though the player is keen to stay at Roots Hall.

"They are a big club with great history and support and it's nice to be linked with a club like Forest because it means I must be doing something right." Eastwood told the Essex Evening Echo.

"I will be playing at The City Ground next year but it won't be for Forest. I will be wearing blue not red and I will be with Southend United."
