England skipper recalls Forest spell

Having seen Chelsea team-mate Michael Mancienne receive an England call-up after an impressive spell at Wolves, Terry said: "I went on loan to Nottingham Forest and it is a good experience. You have to stand on your own two feet.

"I heard Wolves boss Mick McCarthy say he turned up there on his own, he's living on his own and getting on with his football and that is all the boy wants to do.

"He wants to play and, if he can do that at Wolves, he has the chance to do that at Chelsea."

As a 19-year-old, Terry played 6 times for Forest at the back end of the 1999/2000 season.
