Nottingham Forest midfielder Paul Anderson could be back in action within three weeks despite initial fears he had damaged knee ligaments.Anderson limped out of the game against Norwich on Saturday and there were concerns he could be sidelined for a long time with a serious knee injury.
But a scan has shown the problem is not as bad as first thought and he could be back in action by mid-September.
Forest are without a game this weekend because of the international break.
Anderson is likely to miss the next match - against Millwall at home on Saturday, 11 September - and the midweek away fixture against Preston on 14 September.
But the away game against Hull on 18 September could be a more realistic target for his return.
