Billy Davies was a happy enough man after seeing his side make it nine games unbeaten with a 1-1 draw at Doncaster on Saturday afternoon.
"The point keeps a good run going and it's more than we got here last season," said the Scot, who felt his side lacked energy at the Keepmoat Stadium as they drew for the 7th time in 10 Championship games.
"It's important to win games but it's important not to lose them as well. We're a hard side to beat and let's hope that continues."
Forest now have 13 points from their opening 10 games and go into the international break, despite a slow start and some doom and gloom about transfers, on exactly the same number of points as at the same stage last season.
Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll was also pleased with the outcome and said: "It's nip and tuck in this division and we're competing."
