Automatic promotion could be secured against Crewe at the weekend but the excitement and drama of the play-offs look more likely given that Bristol City have to face relegated Rotherham at home.
"It is something I do look forward to, it is fantastic," said Calderwood.
"If you don't enjoy the final weekend, in the situation we are in, and enjoy the pressure and expectation and the elation that could come with that, then it is not worth being in the job.
"You work all summer, through the season and grind and grind and grind, to get the opportunity to produce a happy ending and we still have that opportunity.
"We can still win promotion this weekend."
