The Seasiders were well beaten at Newcastle last weekend and will be hoping that Forest relax their guard after ensuring their place in the end of the season shootout.
Both Holloway and 'Pool midfielder Keith Southern have attempted to shrug off the defeat on Tyneside.
Holloway told the club's official website: "We've got another massive occasion on Saturday against Nottingham Forest, where we could win the game and go into the play-offs.
"Nothing was going to be decided this weekend but it literally could be next weekend.
"I won't dwell on the Newcastle match. We'll analyse it, we'll look at it and then we'll move on.
"I don't think the lads have got anything to be down about. We've ended up going there at probably the wrong time, they're just partying, their confidence is sky high."
Southern meanwhile, quoted in the Blackpool Gazette, has said: "We will come in this week and start again and look to pick up the three points from Forest, it is as simple as that.
"There is no pressure. The manager hasn't put any pressure on us whatsoever.
"He is proud of us this season, proud of the way we played, and he just wants us to finish the job now."
