The experienced left-back is set to join on loan from Villareal according to the Nottingham Post as Dougie Freedman begins a slight reshuffling of his squad in line with the transfer restrictions placed upon him.
Jonny Williams and Liam Trotter have returned to Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers respectively, freeing up two squad spaces of which Jokic will take one to provide cover for the injured Daniel Pinillos.
One player who will hopefully be available to Freedman is Chris Cohen and the 28-year-old was delighted to make his first-team comeback at Charlton on Saturday.
"It makes all the hard work worthwhile," he told BBC Radio Nottingham after a late substitute's appearance.
"I've had a few setbacks along the way. As positive as I've been sometimes you do wonder if it will ever happen."
