"It's good of Nigel Worthington to let me play for Nottingham Forest before linking up with the squad," said Clingan prior to the weekend win over Cheltenham.
"We're in such a good run of form at Forest at the moment that I really don't want to miss out on any games."
The Euro 2008 clash is a must-win game for the Irish if they are to make the finals next year.
