Despite not winning any of their last four games, Forest remain top of the table ahead of Swansea's visit to the City Ground on Saturday.
"When they look back they might think Forest are not going to draw twice or three times in a row again all season," said Breckin.
"They'll think what a chance we've missed there to overtake them.
"Apart from us I don't think there are going to be many teams that can string a lot of wins together. We've got the potential to take this league by the scruff of the neck."
