Forest still strong on home soil

Saturday's home hammering of Scunthorpe was Nottingham Forest's final home league game of the season and their record over 23 matches is a more than respectable 13 wins, 8 draws and 2 defeats for a total haul of 47 points from a possible 69.

The Reds would have been hard pressed to match last season's City Ground stats of 18 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats (56 points) but have scored only 2 goals less at home this year.

That record of course counted for little when it came to the play-offs so hopefully Forest are keeping a bit back if they do secure their place in the top six this weekend.

"We are not there yet," Billy Davies has warned.

"We are having a good run and we are in a good position but there is still work to do when we go to Crystal Palace next weekend for a very difficult away game.

"Hopefully, we will get the one point that is required to get us over the line and I will happily talk about the play-offs when we do that.

"I always said the play-off issue would be a photo finish and probably go down to the last game and that's the way it has turned out."
