Whether Forest are genuinely interested in Bramble or it just a case of them being linked with any available player remains to be seen.
The striker would seem a more plausible target than veteran Tommy Mooney given Gary Megson's desire to build a side for the future. Bramble does have a healthy scoring record albeit in the bottom division of the league and a free transfer move would not be much of a gamble on Forest's part.
