Now there is the possibility of a move to Leyton Orient, with full-back Matt Lockwood moving in the opposite direction.
30-year-old Lockwood, scorer of eight goals this season, said: "I've heard the stories linking me with Forest, but as far as I'm aware no contact has been made.
"Of course it's very flattering to be linked with a club of Forest's stature, but I'm equally happy here at Leyton Orient."
