Whereas Nottingham Forest, in second place in the Championship under Billy Davies, have tried to keep a lid on promotion talk, Leicester City owner Milan Mandaric is in bullish mood about the prospects for his club, fifth in the league at present in their first season back at this level.
"We are definitely ready for the Premier League now," Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury after seeing Nigel Pearson guide the Foxes out of League One at the first attempt and into a play-off place with less than a third of the season remaining.
"We have the base now that is ready. If we got into the Premier League I would be quite comfortable that we can push on."
Ambitions to reach the top-flight this season will be sorely tested on Saturday and for the rest of the season and Mandaric admitted: "We need a bit of luck for the rest of the season but the club is equipped now with the right management, on and off the field."
