The French midfielder played a key part in Plymouth's promotion from the same division in 2003/04 and feels that if Forest can keep things tight at the back, their strikers have enough quality to win games.
"It is totally different to the Championship, the crowds are different and so are the grounds. You need hard work and commitment to be successful in League One and a tight-knit defence," said Friio.
"It is easier to keep clean sheets and if you are organised, you can achieve that and know one or two goals will be enough.
"In League One, sometimes the strikers may have three of four chances before they score a goal.
"So if you have two quality strikers in your team, you can be half way there because they will get you a lot of goals."
