French midfielder Benjamin Gavanon is expected to finalise his loan move to Nottingham Forest today.
The 22-year-old hasn't featured for Marseille this season but wants regular first-team football. The french side have been looking to cut their wage bill further since the departure of Piotr Swierczewski to Birmingham City.
Gavanon watched his new Forest team mates train this morning and was kitted out in a Nottingham Forest training top. If terms are agreed then he will stay at Forest until the end of the season and could earn himself a permanent deal.
He may be in the squad to face Preston at Deepdale but it is more likely he will feature for the reserves against Coventry on Tuesday 28 January at The City Ground.
