A lack of goals in recent warm-up matches has alarmed fans but ahead of the Reds final pre-season friendly against Leeds on Saturday, the City Ground manager said: "Through all the training and the finishing work we have done on the training ground, the boys have been excellent.
"And we don't want to have them worried and frustrated, it is something that will happen.
"It will be highly unlikely that we don't score if we can maintain the way we have been playing.
"In some of the games we have missed opportunities - but it is a good time to be missing chances, in pre-season. It would be a bigger problem if we were not creating chances, but we are getting the ball into good areas."
