The left-back will be one of two absentees in the Lions' defence as Sid Nelson was sent off against Reading on Tuesday and serves the first match of a suspension.
Manager Ian Holloway, however, was delighted with both the effort shown by his side in securing a goalless draw against the Royals and with the performance of new Southampton loanee Jos Hooiveld.
"It certainly gives us a solid base to work from over the next 19 games and each and every one of those is a Cup Final for us," said Holloway.
Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce could have striker Matty Fryatt back in contention although Michael Mancienne is unlikely to feature as he continues his comeback after injury.
