"They are playing well and are a strong side," he said.
"It was only a few weeks ago that I was reading about Gary Megson telling the board that something had to change because results weren't right.
"But they have got it right now and it's going to be a very tough game because the reports that have come back suggest they are one of the best sides in the league."
