The 24-year-old is set for an immediate Forest debut against Oldham tomorrow after his move from League Two side Rochdale went through on Thursday.
The ex-Sheffield Wednesday man has scored 15 goals so far this season and told the Forest website: "I've got every confidence that I can score goals at this level.
"The two leagues are very similar and although there is obviously a step up in quality, I'm sure I'm going to benefit from that.
"I think I have proved at Rochdale that if I get the chances I will put them away and I will be looking forward to doing the same for Nottingham Forest."
