Hull midfielder Jake Livermore is among several players who are set to miss the home game against Nottingham Forest.

Livermore, who twisted his knee in training on Friday, missed Saturday's 1-1 home draw against MK Dons is unlikely to feature for Steve Bruce's side.

Robert Snodgrass (groin) and Nick Powell (hamstring) also missed out at the weekend and remain doubtful, while Ryan Taylor (toe) and Shaun Maloney (ankle) are still out.

The Tigers are chasing their first league win in four matches, while victory would lift them back into the automatic promotion places.

Forest will hope for a winning start to the post-Dougie Freedman spell, but also have bad news in Nelson Oliveira being ruled out.

Following the defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, Freedman had admitted Oliveira could be out for "at least six weeks" with a groin injury, with the club still without the likes of Britt Assombalonga, Matty Fryatt, Henri Lansbury and Andy Reid.

Reid has also been given a coaching role at the club, who are still waiting on clearance to complete the loan signing of Cardiff City striker Federico Macheda.

Winger Oliver Burke returned to action against Wednesday - from the bench - following a hand injury and could be pushing for a start at the KC Stadium.
