Speaking to the local press at www.thisisnottingham.co.uk, manager Billy Davies has played the transfer ball firmly into the court of the Reds acquisition panel, commenting: 'I have great confidence that, in January, the ambition of Forest will be shown by the faces we bring in and the work that we do.'
Similar comments of course have come from the Scot at this time last year and then again in the summer but for whatever reason, Forest have lagged behind other teams in their transfer activity.
The majority of Davies' after-match press conferences this season have been taken up by the need for new faces although the recent arrival of Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal in the face of competition from a number of Championship clubs was a feather in the cap for the club.
