Johnson back in the frame

The transfer-listed striker started Saturday's friendly at Boston United after missing out on the pre-season tour of Denmark and has earned praise from Megson for his attitude to being left out in the cold.

Megson told the club website: "The reports I have received suggest he has worked his socks off in the pre-season games the reserves have played so far.

"And against Boston, he fitted the bill of what we're looking for, particularly in the second half."
