"I felt at times that our quality could have been better, but there were definite signs of desire and bravery to get our foot on the ball and to pass it," he said.
"We were a goal down with minutes to go so I'm pleased that the boys kept going. We know it's another two points that have slipped away and we've now got 14 games left, but I feel that there's a nice honesty about the place. People are joining in with what we're trying to achieve.
"We're trying to get the ball down and pass and at the same time play winning football, but the players will go for it.
"There are a lot of points to play for and there's a lot up for grabs. That carrot is massive.
"We need to go to Doncaster (at the weekend) and win. These are two points we've dropped at home and we have to try and get them back away from home."
