The striker was badly injured shortly into his second spell at the club last season and underwent cruciate ligament surgery in January.
He told the Evening Post: "I'll be looking to start doing some ball work soon and some twisting and turning.
"But it is feasible that I might be able to get some time on the pitch in Denmark.
"It's just a case of building confidence but I am going to take as long as I need to.
"I'm not going to put myself under too much pressure but it is feeling good.
"I was fortunate there wasn't cartilage damage. I hope to get through pre-season and build on it."
