The club's Head Groundsman Ewan Hunter is supervising the annual renovation of the pitch, which means the removal of more than 100 tonnes of rubbish.
As he explained " We clean out the pitch and remove all the top vegetation. Some years we just have to seed but other times we add fibre and this year is one when fibre is added.
" Fibre reinforcement makes the pitch stronger and stops the pitch cutting up. We are adding 150 tonnes of Fibresand to the pitch, which will be mixed into the top, levelled, aerated and then seeded.
" We're taking away between 100 to 150 tonnes of waste and will then use up to 18 bags of seed and the pitch should be ready to go again in about 10 weeks.
