Forest right-back Matthieu Louis-Jean didn't feature against Preston at the weekend because of a hamstring tweak suffered in training on Friday.
The frenchman complained to manager Paul Hart who decided to rest him against Craig Brown's side. The tweak isn't thought to be serious and he is expected to be fit for Forest's trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday. John Thompson took his place at Deepdale and had a decent game but was cautioned.
Louis-Jean is helping new loan signing Benjamin Gavanon come to terms with the English language along with fellow frenchman Mikael Antoine-Curier. "Benji" should play some part of Forest's reserve fixture against Coventry City on Tuesday 28 January. The game kicks-off at 7pm at The City Ground and entry is free.
