With Neil Warnock's appointment as successor to Billy Davies yet to be officially confirmed, versatile right-back Peltier arrives ahead of the man who signed him for Leeds in the summer of 2012 and subsequently made him club captain.
Elland Road boss Brian McDermott told his club's official website: "He felt he wanted to go because he isn't in the team at this moment in time, and we've agreed to let him go."
***Update*** With Warnock reportedly stalling on the job, the deal to sign Peltier has fallen through on Monday evening despite it being agreed between the two clubs.
