Nottingham Forest travel to Field Mill on Saturday for their fourth friendly of the summer.
Mansfield, currently managed by Peter Shirtliff, finished 16th in League Two last season, a position they will be looking to improve on in 2006/07.
The most well-known player to Forest fans among the Stags squad is Jon-Olav Hjelde. The 34-year-old Norwegian defender made 190 appearances in two spells at the City Ground.
Young midfielder Giles Coke has attracted attention from a number of Championship clubs while the goal threat is set to come from Danny Reet, a 19-year-old striker who impressed after joining Mansfield from Sheffield Wednesday in January.
