The Reds are looking to continue their improved recent form and claim a third successive home win against a side that Megson managed in the 1990's.
"Blackpool wasn't my first job as a manager. I went there after losing my job at Norwich, but I regard the Seasiders as my first real job," he said.
"I learned a great deal and enjoyed my time there. They were nice people to work with.
"They have picked up a few good results, this will be a hard game for us. They are similar to us. They have had a start that has been up and down.
"We have won the last two games here and we have won them well – we have to keep that going."
