With Dutch side FC Zwolle confirming that they have taken Lars Veldwijk back to Holland on a season-long loan deal, Dougie Freedman continues to look for players to boost his squad as they sweat it out in sweltering temperatures, getting ready for the start of the Championship season.
Strikers Nicky Maynard and Paul Taylor are currently part of that squad as they look for new clubs while the end of June marks the end of Jamie Ward and Matt Mills' contracts with their previous clubs Derby County and Bolton Wanderers respectively.
The duo are set to link up with the Reds on Wednesday while the latest name in the frame for a potential loan move to the City Ground is Watford defender Tommie Hoban.
Update: Forest have confirmed the signing of Mills, 28, as he links up again with his former boss at Bolton Wanderers.
