The 29-year-old left-back is, however, still in Dougie Freedman's plans for the new season according to the Nottingham Post despite being left out towards the end of the campaign.
Having survived in their first season back in the second tier of the English game, Rotherham are looking to consolidate further with five or six signings this summer.
Manager Steve Evans, who snapped up former Red Matt Derbyshire last summer, knows however that there are limitations to his budget.
He said recently: "Of course everyone understands that when you’re Rotherham United and you go into the Championship level it’s fantastic for us all, but the task gets harder for (chief operating officer) Paul Douglas in terms of getting players over the line and agreeing the finances."
